Hi there!
Welcome back to the Panasas® Collective!
We’re gearing up for a huge showing at Supercomputing 2022, where we’ll be announcing very exciting news at Booth #713 – so stay tuned!
You can reserve your meeting timeslot with our storage experts ahead of time right here.
For now, check out our new resources covering the increasing data storage demands that academic researchers are facing today and see why world-class universities and research institutes partner with Panasas.
Countless inventions that impact us every day have their roots in universities and research labs, from life-saving vaccines to 3D ultrasound imaging. As academic research becomes increasingly data-intensive, storage infrastructure has come to play a critical role in researchers’ success. Learn more in the video here.
In this new infographic, we break down the four major IT challenges that academic researchers face today and show how Panasas solves them. Get the quick guide here.
Jeff Whitaker, Panasas VP of Marketing and Products, sat down with ComputerWeekly’s Antony Adshead to discuss the need for storage that can handle delivering high volumes of small files for AI applications with the throughput and latency needed to service expensive GPUs. Listen to the podcast here.
“Panasas, founded in the same year as [Lustre], set itself the goal from the outset of seriously simplifying the handling of a parallel file system. The target group is primarily commercial companies that value functioning solutions that are easy to use. ‘Right from the start, we focused on stability and simplicity when developing PanFS®,’ says Curtis Anderson, one of four software architects at the company.”

“Panasas has broadened its scale-out NAS offer to encompass high-performance and capacity options with general availability of ActiveStor® Flash and ActiveStor® Ultra XL. The two products aim at a range of workloads in terms of file size and I/O profile that fall within the HPC to AI/ML continuum.”
