Panasas Hires Industry Veteran Fred Vasofsky as it Steps Up Push into Federal and other Verticals

SUNNYVALE, Calif.,  June 15– Panasas^® has appointed industry executive Fred Vasofsky to spearhead the company’s rapidly expanding presence in key vertical markets.

Vasofsky, who takes on the role of Managing Director, Vertical Solutions, brings 25 years of experience working with the federal government and commercial customers to Panasas. During his career, Vasofsky has held senior executive roles in federal sales and channel management. This includes Fusion-io, where he helped deploy some of the earliest SSDs for performance storage into Federal customers environments, prior to its acquisition by SanDisk.

While at SanDisk he was charged with driving all US federal government sales, then promoted to run enterprise commercial sales for North America. Fred was most recently General Manager of Weka.io.
