Hi there!
Welcome back to the Panasas® Collective! We’re rolling into July with some serious momentum.
Following an outstanding showing of our expanded ActiveStor® portfolio at ISC ‘22, we announced that we have joined forces with MLCommons™ to develop industry-wide storage benchmarks that will help design the next generation of storage systems for AI/ML projects. On top of all the great coverage we enjoyed this month, we continue to grow at a rapid pace and are excited to welcome four new additions to Panasas.
Our booth was beacon that invited tons of insightful conversations about industry trends – and judging from them, we’re ahead of the curve. Get the full details from Jeff Whitaker, our VP of marketing here.
We’re thrilled to announce that Panasas Software Architect, Curtis Anderson, was selected to co-chair the MLPerf™ Storage working group at MLCommons. Curtis will help steer the development of critical ML storage benchmarks by establishing best practices for measuring ML storage performance.
“I’d like to thank Panasas for contributing their extensive storage knowledge, and Curtis specifically for the leadership he is providing as a co-chair of this working group,” said David Kanter, MLCommons founder and executive director. Read the full release here.
Doug Black, Editor in Chief at insideHPC, caught up with our COO, Brian Peterson, to talk about HPC/AI convergence and our new ActiveStor systems at ISC ’22. To learn more about Panasas’ power to solve the most complex data challenges, listen to the interview here.
We’re thrilled to welcome Andrew Norgen, Denis Antonenko, Joel Tucker, and Gilbert Smith as Technical Support Engineers!
Chris Mellor, Founder and Editor at Blocks & Files, gives his take on our updated portfolio of data solutions.
“These two new systems – the go-faster Flash 100 and store-more Ultra XL – complement the mixed workload Ultra 100. They give Panasas systems ammunition to rebuff competition from DDN, Dell’s PowerScale, Qumulo and VAST Data, should Panasas’ HPC customer base consider alternatives.”
We are now enrolling for PanFS System Administration Certification course in Fall. This course runs from September 12th – 23rd, 9 am – 1 pm EDT. For more info and to register, click here.
SC22 : Nov 13 – 18, Booth #713, Dallas, TX
Thank you for being a valued Panasas customer, and please stay tuned for our next monthly email newsletter!
