FREMONT, CA — November 12, 2007 — Panasas, Inc., the leader in parallel storage solutions for high-performance computing (HPC) environments, today announced Panasas DirectConnect10, a new 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity solution that increases the performance of Panasas ActiveStor Parallel Storage Clusters by more than 50 percent. Panasas DirectConnect10 increases bandwidth from a single ActiveStor storage shelf to well in excess of 500MB/s. The Panasas DirectConnect10 option now provides customers the flexibility to connect Panasas Parallel Storage Clusters directly into their 10GigE switching infrastructure, which will significantly improve time to results and accelerate product development.

Panasas is scheduled to exhibit the new 10GigE solution at the Supercomputing 2007 (SC07) show in Reno, where it will showcase performance in excess of 2 GB/s out of just four Panasas storage shelves. These shelves are connected via Force10 S50 switches into 20 Linux-based servers from Penguin Computing. Panasas is exhibiting at booth number 1037.

The addition of 10GigE connectivity further widens the performance gap between Panasas Parallel Storage Clusters and current NFS-based storage solutions. The higher performance Panasas solution is targeted at customers in oil & gas, manufacturing and government who need to get results fast and accelerate product development.

The DirectConnect10 option will ship to Panasas ActiveStor Parallel Storage Cluster customers in Q1 2008. The DirectConnect10 option is certified with 10GE switching solutions from Force10 Networks, with planned additional certifications for Cisco Systems and Woven Systems.
