FREMONT, CA — October 10, 2006 — Panasas, Inc. today announced Len Rosenthal has joined the company as chief marketing officer. Rosenthal will be responsible for driving global marketing strategies to accelerate the adoption of Panasas clustered storage solutions in High Performance Computing (HPC) markets. Rosenthal brings more than 20 years of marketing and business development experience to the Panasas management team.
Rosenthal joins Panasas from QLogic Corporation, a leading supplier of storage networking products. In April 2006, QLogic acquired PathScale Corporation, where Len was co-founder and served as vice president of marketing and business development. Rosenthal established PathScale as one of the most well-known and respected technology suppliers in the HPC industry, ultimately leading to the successful acquisition by QLogic. Before co-founding PathScale, Rosenthal directed global partnerships with system platform vendors, system integrators, and value-added resellers at Inktomi Corporation. His experience also includes senior marketing management roles at Silicon Graphics Computer Systems and Hewlett-Packard. Rosenthal holds a dual bachelor's degree in Economics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a MBA from Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley.
