International General Manager

We seek a General Manager to direct our international sales team and play a critical role in ensuring the Company’s continued growth. Requires a driven leader with an ability to interface with business executives as well as roll up their sleeves to help develop best in class policies and practices for our growing international business. Requires excellent communication skills, a consistent track record of quota over-attainment and revenue growth, and strong networking skills. Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for business strategy and execution in EMEA. Able to develop business plan for each region
- Management responsibility for direct sales team as well as channels
- Develop and oversee business relationships with an eye to unique country business practices
- Plan and execute strategic direction of the sales team
- Make recommendations on growth, opportunities for growth, and key target accounts
- Manage the sales pipeline to ensure accuracy while maximizing revenue
- Drive account strategies and coordinating team-selling efforts to close business on a quarterly and annual basis
- Implement and manage a consistent account/territory planning process including goal setting and objectives
- Manage multiple customers and opportunities, maintaining accurate forecasting and clear management communication
- Establish and maintain rapport with employees, customers and prospects within assigned area
- Establish and nurture relationships at all levels of the customer organization as appropriate and managing sales team to ensure that customer needs are met
- Help with difficult customer problems and participates in important negotiations with key customers
- Driving reference-able customer satisfaction
- Set the strategic direction and tactics required to exceed sales quotas
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, develop and manage sales personnel
- Assess team and individual sales performances
- Evangelizing Panasas’ breakthrough solution to customers, partners, and associates
- Contributing to the Panasas culture--inspiring teammates by example
Job Requirements::
- BA / BS degree required; masters degree a plus
- Minimum of 10 years sales experience with a background in selling complex technical solutions
- At least 5 yrs international sales management experience
- Previous Start-up experience beneficial
- Consistent track record of revenue growth in a storage environment while maintaining customer loyalty and required product margins
- Knowledge of the storage industry, HPC experience a plus
- Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently in a leadership role
- Strong work ethic and excellent team building and influencing skills
- Proven track record of driving sales team to penetrate and close new accounts and opportunities
- Demonstrated ability to foster communication within a sales team, while promoting independent activities and parallel efforts
- Strong managerial/leadership skills as well as personal sales skills
- Ability to travel internationally
- Fluency in several languages helpful
